The Outer Worlds: the Standard Edition will be discontinued on May 27

It will soon no longer be possible to purchase the Standard Edition of The Outer Worlds. The first installment of the first-person action-RPG franchise will be discontinued starting May 27, 2026.

This applies only to the standard edition. Obsidian’s title will still be available via the « Spacer’s Choice Edition », which includes all DLC and graphical enhancements. To mark the occasion, its price will drop from $59.99 to $39.99. Players who already own the standard game will receive the upgrade to this edition for free. On PS4 and Xbox One, you must own The Outer Worlds and two expansions to take advantage of the offer.

Finally, the paid upgrade option will also be removed.
