If you liked what you saw in the teaser trailer for Alex, an upcoming addition to Capcom’s Street Fighter 6, it’s because there’s a familiar face behind the character’s moves.
Kenny Omega, the popular professional wrestler, has had what looks to be a very enjoyable day performing motion capture for Alex, a character whose agility and raw strength are featured heavily in his moveset. The game’s official account showcases the process behind recording moves and weaving its magic to include all the power Alex can truly muster when he unleashes on an opponent.
There’s a lot to see here if you’re thinking about making a beeline for Alex as one of your mains when he drops next month. We get a glimpse of how Omega’s moves translate to a gameplay loop that’s about keeping your opponent guessing with a brutal onslaught of mix-ups and grabs that can be quite hard to respond to. Alex also dominates the screen with his imposing presence, which doesn’t help either.
It’s definitely an interesting way to showcase a character who likes to make an entrance. Alex is available on March 17th as part of the Year 3 Character Pass.

It’s exciting to see more behind-the-scenes content for Street Fighter 6! Kenny Omega’s portrayal of Alex seems like a fantastic addition to the game. Looking forward to seeing how this character develops!
