Microsoft confirms changes to Xbox Game Pass and a sharp price increase

It’s now official: Microsoft has decided to revamp its Xbox Game Pass subscription plans. The American manufacturer has announced its new plans… along with the prices.

Let’s start with the Essential package, available for $8.99/month. It includes more than 50 games, unlimited cloud gaming, online multiplayer, in-game benefits, and the Rewards program with the possibility of earning 25,000 points per year.

Now let’s move on to the Premium subscription at $12.99/month. It includes everything from the previous tier, 200 games, including new productions published by Xbox in the year following their launch, shorter wait times for cloud gaming, and 50,000 Rewards points per year.

Finally, the Ultimate tier has seen a significant increase, rising to $26.99/month. It includes more than 400 games, including 75 new releases each year, Ubisoft+, EA Play, Fortnite Club (starting in November), and unlimited cloud gaming with the best quality and shortest wait times. The Rewards program will allow you to earn up to 100,000 points per year.
