Battlefield 6 Gets Ready for Season 1 on October 28 With a New Gameplay Launch Trailer

As we get closer to the October 28 release date for Battlefield 6’s first season, Battlefield Studios has released a new gameplay trailer to commemorate the upcoming season’s launch. The trailer, which you can check out below, shows off the new Blackwell Fields map, which is slated to be among the first bits of content released as part of the upcoming season’s first phase.

Along with this, the trailer also showcases the other map that will be coming to Battlefield 6 over the course of Season 1 – Eastwood. The rest of the trailer largely revolves around showing off the other new content, which includes new game modes and weapons. The first of these game modes will be Strikepoint – a 4v4 round-based mode with each player having a single life.

The first month of Season 1 will be called Rogue Ops. November will see the release of the second phase, dubbed California Resistance, which will bring with it Eastwood, while December 9 will mark the arrival of Winter Offensive, complete with a seasonal update to the Empire State map. The second phase will also bring with it a new game mode, dubbed Sabotage, which will pit two teams of 8 players against each other.

More details about Season 1 of Battlefield 6 were revealed just last month, including the variety of new weapons and vehicles that will be added to the game over the three-month run of its first season.

Since its October 10 release across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, Battlefield 6 has proven to be incredibly successful for EA. The company had confirmed earlier this month that it had sold more than 7 million copies in its first three days of release. The same time period also saw more an accumulation of 15 million hours in watch time for the game across various streaming platform. EA also confirmed that more than 172 million matches had been played in the title’s launch weekend.

“First and foremost, we want to thank our players. Battlefield 6 was built with our fans,” said Battlefield Studios general manager Bryon Beede in a press release. “From the initial concept through to the implementation of Battlefield Labs and into the record-shattering Open Beta, we have been obsessed with player feedback. Together, with our players, we’ve had a singular goal: to craft the best Battlefield ever. And this is just the beginning—our first season of new content is just 12 days away”

“We never take moments like this for granted, so I want to express our sincere gratitude to our global Battlefield Studios and passionate community that has helped get us to this point,” Battlefield Studios executive vice president Vince Zampella said. “We appreciate you joining us for Battlefield 6‘s momentous launch. We have so much more to come in the weeks ahead.”

While millions of players may be having fun with Battlefield 6, the shooter isn’t without its fair share of problems. For more details, check out our review, as well as our rundown of all the things that we believe are wrong with the game.
