MOUSE: P.I. For Hire Delayed to Early 2026

Fumi Games’ gorgeous first-person shooter MOUSE: P.I. For Hire has seen a delay. Instead of launching sometime this year, it’s now targeting early 2026 for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.

On Twitter, the developer, alongside publisher Playside Studios, stated that the single “highest priority” currently is to “deliver you the best possible experience.” This delay will seemingly ensure the team achieves the same. While it planned to announce a release date for MOUSE at the Galaxies Gaming Showcase on October 23rd, it could reveal something else instead.

Perhaps some new gameplay? A free demo? Time will tell. In the meantime, check out this trailer from last April, showcasing the various sci-fi weapons that players can equip, from the CLEAN-D Turpentine Gun and its corrosive properties to the MIND-D Conscious gun, which allows for hypnotizing foes. Stay tuned for more details and updates on the rubberhose-style animated shooter in the meantime.
