A strange decision went unnoticed amid the chaos surrounding the layoffs at XBOX. Indeed, one specific division is said to have been completely stripped of its staff.
Nathan Brown, the former editor-in-chief of Edge magazine, reported that the American manufacturer appears to have laid off all staff from its « Hardware » and « Advanced Technology » divisions.
« While I haven’t seen this reported anywhere, I’ve heard from several people that Xbox’s Hardware and Advanced Technology departments have also been completely gutted, despite Sharma and his team’s commitment to a next-generation console. »
It remains to be seen whether this could affect the plans for Project Helix.
