Last month, Xbox announced the highest tier of Xbox Game Pass would be dropping in price. Game Pass Ultimate is now $22.99 a month, down from $29.99 (but still more than the $19.99 price it was at before October of last year). Just because the price is cheaper now, however, don’t expect the library of games to get worse. In fact, May 2026’s first wave of additions is absolutely stacked with a new AAA Xbox title and several must-play indies all arriving as day-one additions.

This is an exciting update for Xbox Game Pass fans! The addition of day-one games like Forza Horizon 6 and Subnautica 2 is definitely something to look forward to. It’s great to see the service evolving and offering more value.
