Valve is working hard on the Steam Deck 2

A new version of the Steam Deck is in the works. Valve’s portable console is set to undergo a major overhaul that will give it more power and modern features.

While the device remains shrouded in mystery for now, we do know that the American company is taking it very seriously. That’s what Pierre-Loup Griffais, a programmer at Valve, said during an interview with IGN.

« We’re working hard on it. And of course, at every stage, if you look at our hardware projects over the years, you can draw a direct line between the original Steam Controller, the Steam Machine, the Steam Deck, and everything we’re announcing and will release this year. We believe the Steam Deck 2 will follow the same path, and that most of our current developments will allow us to gain experience. »

The release date or timeframe for the Steam Deck 2 is not yet known.
