“Our story begins with a letter, a phone call, and a break-in at Everhart Manor,” a description of the demo reads. Players can sample the first part of the game.

Call of the Elder Gods is a single-player game, and its demo isn’t locked behind a PS Plus subscription, so anyone with a PS5 can check it out. That said, Premium members can cloud stream the demo.

“All is not well at Miskatonic University. Professor Harry Everhart tries to ignore the shadows flitting at the corners of his vision, while student Evangeline Drayton is haunted with impossible dreams of an artifact uncovered a decade ago,” the plot reads. “In their search for answers, the pair will uncover revelations more ancient than anyone could have imagined.”
