The Wolf Among Us 2 returned to the spotlight eight years after its announcement during this last Summer Game Fest. In addition to the trailer, the press got a chance to check out the Telltale Games title, and several details have emerged from these previews.
First of all, this sequel looks set to be stunning thanks to the use of the Unreal Engine 5. The comic book style of the first game has, of course, been retained. The cutscenes will be more “fluid” than those in previous Telltale games, and it will feature a 360-degree for greater freedom.
Additionally, the game’s playtime is estimated to be between 8 and 12 hours. The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released as a full game rather than in episodic format. As for the storyline, it takes place six months after the events of the first game. We’ll see more interactions between humans and Fables. Bigby will be the prey rather than the hunter and will set out on the trail of a serial killer. Also, Faye, a human detective, will accompany Bigby as a new character.
Finally, the original voice actors for Bigby, Snow, and several recurring characters will return to the cast. The composer of The Wolf Among Us 1, Jared Emerson-Johnson, will once again handle the soundtrack.

It’s great to see The Wolf Among Us 2 getting some positive early previews! After such a long wait, it’s exciting to hear that it’s generating buzz. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!
