Billed as the first entry in the series to feature HD-2D graphics, FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE will be released for PS5, XBOX Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC this October 22. The standard edition is priced at €49.99, and the Deluxe Edition (which includes in-game items) at €59.99.
Following the official announcement during Nintendo Direct, Square Enix has provided details about this installment. Its story will be based on that of the mobile game Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, released in 2015. However, almost everything will be remade from scratch. We’ll journey with companions brought together by fate and summon Visions during turn-based battles.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE aims to celebrate both classic and modern entries in the franchise with scenes drawn from those games. There will be several continents to explore and we’ll encounter flying ships, summons, and the franchise’s iconic chocobos.
Finally, these Visions will allow us to summon iconic characters like Zidane, Y’shtola, Cloud, Terra, Squall, Warrior of Light, Shantotto, and more, who will fight alongside us.
