Red Dead Redemption 2 Gains One Of Fallout’s Best Features, And It’s Brutal

Red Dead Redemption 2 players have found plenty of new ways to enjoy the game over the years, and this one is particularly fun for Fallout fans.

The number of mods available for Red Dead Redemption 2 have gone through the roof in recent years.

Lots of new content has been added for players who want a little extra out of their game, with new game modes, missions, and overhauls added for PC gamers.

Fallout fans who also play Red Dead Redemption 2 can now install Bloody Mess Perk, a new mod which takes inspiration from the Fallout perk of the same name.

Bloody Mess Perk behaves exactly as it does in Fallout.

When you shoot and kill an enemy, there’s a chance that they’ll explode in a fiery mess of bloody and guts.

This isn’t guaranteed each time, but there is a specific percentage chance that this may occur while playing, with the default setting being 10%.

The bonus can occur with every weapon in Red Dead Redemption 2, and the percentage chance can also differ depending on the type of weapon you’re using.

So if you want it to occur moreso with shotguns and rifles, and less so with pistols, you can configure it to do that.

Altogether, while it doesn’t necessarily add a new mission or NPC type, it should provide some fun for anyone who wants to turn their enemies in Red Dead Redemption 2 into a bloody mess.

You can download the Bloody Mess Perk mod for Red Dead Redemption 2 now by grabbing it from Nexus Mods.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Mods Continue To Be The Gift That Keeps On Giving

While you’re at it, you can also have a look at several other Red Dead Redemption 2 mods which are available to install on PC.

Modders have gone to extreme lengths to overhaul the game, adding in loads of new details and content to the game in order to expand its lifespan.

For example, 1899 Economy Overhaul tweaks the prices of in-game items as well as mission rewards to resemble a more authentic economy of 1899.

Meanwhile, mods which add new content such as the Loan Shark mod and the Guarma Expansion are also proving to be popular with players who want to get a little bit more out of their playthroughs.

While there is already plenty of content available in the base game version of Red Dead Redemption 2, these mods will certainly add a bit more to do during your regular playthroughs.

Absolutely! It’s fascinating how the game’s open world encourages creativity and exploration. The way players can now approach missions with a more tactical mindset, similar to Fallout, really adds a fresh layer of strategy to the gameplay.
