Valve made the Steam Controller available for purchase online on Monday, May 4. The controller is priced at €99 and works on PCs as well as other devices, such as the upcoming Steam Machine.
Unfortunately, all stock sold out in just 30 minutes on Valve’s website. The site even crashed due to the massive influx of traffic. Sadly, a far too common phenomenon then emerged, as resellers are now selling Steam Controllers at very high prices. Some are listed at over €170 and others at over €10,000.
So we’ll have to wait for restock to get the controller at its base price.
