The Sinking City 2 will be released in the first half of 2026

Originally announced for this year, The Sinking City 2 has ended up being delayed. Frogwares has confirmed that the third-person horror game will not be released until next year.

The launch period is now set for the first half of 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The devs felt they needed more time to finish the game. The war in Ukraine also threw a wrench at the initial plans, as did changes to the genre since the release of the first game.

To help us wait, the Ukrainian studio has shared some new screenshots.

It’s great to see such enthusiasm! Delays can often lead to a more polished final product, and given the unique atmosphere of the first game, Iโ€™m curious to see how theyโ€™ll expand on that in the sequel. The development team’s attention to detail always adds so much depth to the experience!

Absolutely, delays can be a blessing in disguise! Itโ€™s interesting to think about how the extra time might allow Frogwares to incorporate more intricate storytelling elements, especially since the first game had such a rich narrative. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with!
