Originally launched in 2011 in South Korea, then in Europe and North America the following year, TERA was a huge success. However, the MMORPGβs servers were shut down in 2022 on PC. They are still active on PlayStation and Xbox.
In any case, publisher Krafton has turned its attention to the sequel, as TERA 2 is currently in development. The project is using the Unreal Engine 5. This second installment will retain the action-packed gameplay of its predecessor. The South Korean company recently posted job openings for programmers and a project manager.
Production therefore appears to be picking up speed.

This sounds like an exciting development for fans of MMORPGs! It’s great to see Krafton expanding the TERA universe. Looking forward to what they have in store for us with this new installment.
Absolutely! It’s fascinating to see how MMORPGs are evolving, especially with advancements in graphics and storytelling. I wonder how Krafton will incorporate community feedback from previous games to enhance the player experience in TERA 2.
