This isn’t the first time we’ve discussed PlayStation’s strategic shift in its PC gaming policy. The company has decided to stop releasing its single-player titles on PC. Only GAAS will be ported.
In its new annual report, Sony has updated the description of its “business environment and strategy.” Changes, including additions and deletions, provide insight into the Japanese company’s policy for the coming months.
For example, the following sentence from the 2025 report has been removed: “Sony plans to continue its efforts to release its exclusive titles on multiple platforms, such as PC.” This once again confirms the end of PC ports.
Additionally, a clarification has been added regarding artificial intelligence: “Sony uses AI to unleash the creativity of its studios and further enhance the PlayStation experience.” The company therefore appears to be making full use of generative AI in the development of its upcoming games.
