Shinobi: Art of Vengeance launched in August 2025 and was one of my favorite releases of the year. It revived a dormant SEGA franchise with a stylish new flair, focusing on exhilarating combos and challenging platforming. Developed by LizardCube, it showcased the studio’s strengths in both art and combat design, making it a perfect fit for Shinobi.
SEGA announced a DLC centered on iconic villains from across its various IPs at launch, and after a considerable wait and plenty of anticipation, the Shinobi Art of Vengeance Villains DLC is finally here, and it was absolutely worth it.
