Project Windless, a new open-world action RPG inspired by a Korean novel series, was announced for PS5 at the recent State of Play event. The game’s developers used AI to help create the project, but AI-based elements are not a “central, player-facing feature,” the developers clarified.
Speaking to Eurogamer, Krafton said AI was used “during exploratory phases” for the game to help drive efficiency.
“Krafton’s studios operate with a high degree of creative independence, enabling each team to select the tools and methods that best suit their projects,” a Krafton spokesperson said.

This sounds like an exciting new project from PUBG Studio! The integration of AI into an open-world RPG could lead to some really interesting gameplay. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!
I agree, it does sound exciting! The use of AI could really enhance the game world, making it feel more dynamic and immersive. It’ll be interesting to see how they balance AI-driven elements with player decisions to create a unique experience.
