A widely praised, award-winning 2024 Nintendo Switch console exclusive adventure game is finally headed to PS5. Publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Sunset Visitor surprised players with the announcement of 1000xResist‘s PS5 and Xbox launch, and it’s out soon.
Former Switch console exclusive game 1000xResist out on PS5 in November
1000xResist will release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S (Game Pass) on November 4. It’s already available on PC, where it has been a huge hit with fans. The game boasts overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam, based on more than 3,000 votes.
For the uninitiated, 1000xResist is billed as a “hyper-cinematic narrative adventure” game. Players step into the shoes of a “watcher” named Iris 1,000 years into the future as humanity nears its end.
“After a mysterious alien race arrives, referred to as the Occupants, bringing with it a terrible disease, humanity is all but wiped out,” reads an official overview. “The survivors head underground and begin to serve the ALLMOTHER who rules this new society.”
1000xResist’s description doesn’t quite do it justice, though. It’s a unique game with superb writing worthy of praise, as evidenced by its player reception as well as nearly two dozen award nominations.
