Promising New PS Plus Extra December Day 1 Game Out Today

PS Plus day one game Skate Story

The second PS Plus Extra, Premium December 2025 game scheduled for an early release will be available at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET today. Developed by Sam Eng and published by Devolver Digital, the intriguing Skate Story joins PS Plus catalog day one and will also be available to purchase separately via the PS Store.

Skate Story is the second day-one PS Plus game for December 2025

Skate Story follows Red Dead Redemption 1’s native PS5 port, which also launched day one on PS Plus last week.

β€œThe Devil has given you a skateboard with a simple deal: Skate to the Moon and swallow it β€” and you shall be freed,” a synopsis reads. β€œOllie, kickflip, and grind your way through the ash and smoke of The Emptylands as you take on a seemingly impossible quest.”

The remaining December catalog additions are expected to be revealed this Wednesday, December 10, and the games will go live on Tuesday, the 16th. One of the upcoming games has already been confirmed: PS Plus Premium classic Soulcalibur III.

This is your final week to play games set to depart in December.

As for January 2026’s departures, we’ll get the official list next week. However, based on the usual pattern, we’ve got a list of predictions that players should prioritize.
