This handy accessory will soon be available for purchase. Indeed, the Playmaji brand has announced that the Polymega Remix has just completed its mass production phase and is now “on its way to our facilities from our overseas factory”.
Priced at $199, the Polymega Remix is a USB device capable of hosting CD and cartridge games to install and play them on a computer. An expansion port compatible with Element Modules is included to offer support for NES, SNES, N64, and Mega Drive cartridges, and much more. To play, you then need to launch the Polymega App on a PC or handheld console. The Remix can be disconnected once the games have been copied.
It is actually a more affordable version of the Polymega, which was released in May 2021 at a price of $450. Simply put, the Remix cannot play games natively, unlike its bigger sibling. A computer is required for that.
In any case, pre-orders are now open on the Playmaji website, with deliveries expected in May 2026.
