Itās definitely over for Highguard, which shut down its servers last week. What’s more, all signs point to this being the case for studio Wildlight Entertainment too.
Despite such a failure, the free-to-play shooter had a few loyal players who spent real money on skins and other in-game items. While many expressed their disappointment following the gameās shutdown, PlayStation has apparently decided to refund their purchases.
In fact, PS5 users have received refunds without even requesting them. A Reddit user confirmed the news with a screenshot to back up their claim.
“I honestly didnāt care for a refund. I enjoyed the game and enjoyed supporting it but if you were looking for a refund they are sending them out.”
For now, we donāt know if other platforms will follow suit.
