We’re not even a calendar month away from the release of the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, and it looks like Nintendo and Illumination already have a third movie set for 2028, according to an updated version of Universal’s schedule on its Spanish website. Spotted by VGC, the updated schedule now lists “Untitled Illumination/Nintendo Event Film (April 2028)” on April 12, 2028. That could, of course, be the next Super Mario movie after Galaxy, or it could be the start of a new series like the rumoured Donkey Kong, Star Fox, and Metroid films.
