In an article published by The Verge, we learn that references to a certain « Project Saluki » were discovered in the latest update to the Xbox app on PC. A description was also found. It leaves little room for doubt, as it mentions « an expansion into the Chinese market for Game Pass, the Rewards program, and various subscriptions ».
In a memo to employees in late April, Asha Sharma, the president of Xbox, had already mentioned her intention to expand the brand in China and within emerging markets. This is aimed at users who prefer mobile devices.
