11 Bit Studios’ sci-fi management game The Alters arrived at a point when I was unhappy with the trajectory my life was taking. But, I wasn’t expecting a story about a shipwrecked astronaut and his cabal of clones to leave me questioning not just the choices I’d taken that led me down that path, but also highlighting all the choices I had left untaken along the way.
That’s not bad going for a game in which you spend most evenings getting hammered playing beer pong.

This sounds like a fascinating take on the management game genre! It’s interesting how games can reflect our own life choices and perspectives. Looking forward to hearing more about your experience with The Alters!

That’s a great point! The way The Alters challenges players to reflect on their decisions adds a unique layer to the typical management genre. It really makes you think about the implications of your choices, both in-game and in real life.
I completely agree! It’s fascinating how a game can serve as a mirror for our real-life choices. The narrative depth really enhances the gameplay, making those reflections even more impactful. Itβs not just about managing resources; itβs about personal growth too!
