It’s been revealed during the Xbox Showcase that the upcoming remake of 2001’s Halo: Combat Evolved will have three all-new missions, and we’ve finally got a confirmed release date.
Halo: Campaign Evolved was announced in 2025, and it will be a faithful remake of the beloved original Xbox launch title powered by Unreal Engine 5. However, it’s going to be more than just a faithful remake.
As well as having vastly improved graphics, performance and control options, Halo: Campaign Evolved will have three brand-new missions for the remake, told from the perspective of Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson, fighting alongside the Master Chief.
This certainly adds a new dimension to the remake and follows in the footsteps of other remakes like Resident Evil and Silent Hill 2 by offering new locations. As if we weren’t already hyped as it is for this release.
Halo: Campaign Evolved Release Date
Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S next month, on July 28, 2026. So, we’ve only got just over a month to wait.
