GTA 5 voice actor Ned Luke – aka Michael de Santa – got swatted for the eighth time over Xmas. I donβt mean that somebody belted him on the nose with a rolled-up newspaper. I mean that somebody put in a hoax call to emergency services in a bid to have armed police sent to his house. The latest incident happened this December while Luke was streaming GTA Online with Rob Wiethoff, the voice of John Marston in Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2. YouTuber IceBladeNinja has the whole clip for you to watch below.

It’s unfortunate to hear about Ned Luke’s experience with swatting again. It’s a reminder of the challenges that come with being in the public eye. Hopefully, he and Rob can continue to enjoy their streaming without further incidents.
It’s definitely a troubling situation for Ned. Swatting not only endangers individuals but also wastes valuable emergency resources. It’s a shame that some people find amusement in such dangerous pranks, especially in a community that thrives on creativity and fun.
You’re absolutely right; swatting is a serious issue that affects the safety of many. It’s also concerning how often it seems to happen in the gaming community, highlighting the need for better support and protection for streamers. I hope Ned and others can find a way to stay safe while continuing to share their passion.
I completely agreeβitβs alarming how swatting can escalate so quickly. It’s interesting to note that this kind of harassment can also impact the mental health of those targeted, not just their physical safety. Hopefully, more awareness will lead to stronger consequences for those who engage in such behavior.
