It took three and a half years for Forza Horizon 5 to release on PS5 in April 2025. The launch was an immediate success for Microsoft, which has never released any official sales figures for this version.
Fortunately, we can count on Virtuos, the French studio that supported Playground Games in developing this port. In an article published on its website, Virtuos revealed that Forza Horizon 5 has sold over 5 million copies on Sony’s console.
This phenomenal success ranks the racing game among the best-selling titles on the PS5.
