Fairgame$ has reportedly become an extraction shooter

When it was announced in 2023, Fairgame$ was billed as a competitive heist game with a formula pretty similar to that of Payday. After several years of development, turbulent playtests, and the departure of Jade Raymond, the game has clearly shifted its focus.

Now, Havenโ€™s game is reportedly leaning more toward the extraction shooter genre and will include four distinct modes. Additionally, Sony has reportedly decided to adopt a free-to-play business model with microtransactions.

Finally, Fairgame$ is reportedly still causing internal concerns due to its strong resemblance to Den of Wolves, the upcoming cooperative FPS from the creators of Payday and GTFO.
