Indie developer Strange Scaffold revealed El Paso, Elsewhere 2 during the PC Gaming Show today. El Paso, Elsewhere followed a monster slayer named James Savage as he descended into the underworld beneath a motel to kill his ex-girlfriend, a vampire trying to bring on the apocalypse. It was a personal and emotional game supported by a PS2-era aesthetic and third-person shooting gameplay that clearly pays tribute to Max Payne. It was one of my favorite games of 2023, so I’m elated that Strange Scaffold decided to make a sequel.
