Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is impressive with DLSS 4.5 on

Just deployed by NVIDIA for CES 2026, DLSS 4.5 is clearly working wonders. Several games have been tested in recent days using the upscaler. Today, it’s Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 that we’re talking about.

In this video by the YouTube channel Bang4BuckPC Gamer, we can see Sandfall Interactive’s title running on a PC equipped with an RTX 5090 32 GB and an AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor, all with 64 GB of RAM.

It compares the native 4K rendering to DLSS 4.5 performance mode, which scales up from a base resolution of 1080p. The image quality achieved with DLSS 4.5 (with about 50 more FPS) is almost on par with native rendering.

Elements such as vegetation, hair, and details appear finer thanks to NVIDIA’s technology. Only reflections are currently lagging behind. The second-generation Transformer model works wonders. In spring 2026, RTX 50 graphics cards will receive Multi-Frame Generation x6, which will deliver even greater fluidity.
