Cambria Opens Dungeon Fishing Beta With Up to 30,000 Free Grub Up for Grabs

In Brief:

Cambria has rolled out Dungeon Fishing in early beta, giving players an idle mode built around earning a range of in-game rewards.
Grub can be traded in for NFTs and cashable Keys, and for a limited window newcomers qualify for as much as 30,000 free Grub.
Because the mode strips out the high stakes of standard play, it opens the game up to a wider set of players.

Cambria launches Dungeon Fishing
Dungeon Fishing, the newest addition to Cambria, has entered early beta. The idle mode has players fishing up valuable items — Sacks of Gems, Charm Cards and NFTs among them — every one of which converts into Keys. For the next seven days, newcomers can pick up as much as 30,000 free Grub from Mirelle, an in-game NPC.
Set against Cambria’s high-risk extraction gameplay, Dungeon Fishing plays very differently. Buy bait, go AFK, come back to a pile of rewards: the dread of hostile zones gives way to something far more relaxed.
How it works
Everything runs through Mirelle Kain, the dealer for the bait known as Mirelle’s Grub. Fishing happens at a pond with an Ice Fishing Rod, which players first pick up from Viktor for 10 Arena Tokens, and over time it yields both fish and Angler Sacks. What comes out of those sacks depends on which rod modifiers the player picked and how much they staked.
Three rod settings — Balanced, Steady and Degen — can be combined freely, shifting the shape of the expected rewards while the overall value stays flat. Reaching the top-tier T4 Massive Angler Sack requires a stake of 10 or more paired with particular rod settings.
Attraction and gear systems
Long-term incentives come from two systems. The first, Attraction, works like a return-to-player rate: bait purchases generate Mirelle’s Favor, which buys permanent boosts across ten levels, topping out at a 90 percent Attraction rate. Casts also produce Scales, another route to pushing Attraction higher.
The second is gear progression. Each catch grants XP that feeds Fishing Power, improving what a player can fish for and opening up Genesis Points that matter for the upcoming RSGP token event. On top of that, daily fishing quests hand out Scales and Keys, and rare fish contribute to collections that pay out Depths Keys.
Rewards structure
Angler Sacks carry the headline prizes, chief among them the Uncut Emerald, the reward players most want and one that scales with the sack tier. Charm Cards can be kept or traded, and various NFTs from the Cambria ecosystem are also on the table. According to the studio, every reward converts to Keys — the hook that ties Dungeon Fishing into the wider game economy.
About Cambria
Cambria is a risk-to-earn MMORPG set after a catastrophe, where the core loop has players extracting loot from PvPvE zones. Dungeon Fishing sits alongside that as a gentler option, a way into the economy that does not demand high stakes. Ronin and Abstract handle transactions, keeping the in-game economy running efficiently.
Token plans and roadmap
The mode also feeds Cambria’s wider token plans: Genesis Points tie players to the RSGP token launch coming in August. Airdrops to loyal community members continue as part of the same push, the goal being a move away from seasonal farming toward a durable live economy.
Casual engagement
A laid-back fishing mode is a bid for a bigger audience. For players with no appetite for the usual high-risk loop, the idle format is an alternative — one whose mechanics still offer real depth without demanding constant attention.
With up to 30,000 free Grub waiting at Mirelle, the studio is pushing players to get in early. Between the genuinely cashable rewards and the Genesis Points feeding the coming token launch, Dungeon Fishing serves as one more door into Cambria’s on-chain economy.
