According to his sources, the vast majority of Bungie employees were unaware that production had been halted until the public announcement. Thus, some were working on future content for Destiny 2 even after management made this decision.
Additionally, regarding future layoffs, there was a meeting held at the studio. The question came up repeatedly, but management gave no specific answers. There could be many departures, but they are not expected to happen immediately.
