The bobcat is back as Bubsy returns in a brand new platforming game from Atari and studio Fabraz on May 22nd 2026.Ā Bubsy 4D will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows and GOG, and Xbox Play Anywhere, and probably your smart fridge and Nokia 3310 if they have enough time.
This will be the first Bubsy 3D adventure game since 1996 (the 2017 reboot was a side scrolling platformer) and it finds the wisecracking bobcat on the hunt for the Golden Fleece, which somehow has been stolen from Greek mythology and is now in the hands of the alien BaaBots. I think this is a case of āJust go with it, itās a video gameā.
Busby will be bounding around alien planets themed around fabric and crafts and will be meeting up with some old pals from previous games including Terri, Terry, Virgil and Oblivia.
āGet ready for the comeback you never saw coming,ā said Bubsy T. Bobcat. āItās no secret that Iāve got a questionable track record, but Atari and Fabraz are determined to give me the game Iāve always deserved. This time, my claws are out and Iām ready to show off.ā
