Bluepoint’s closure is another nail in the coffin for a Bloodborne remake

One of the most requested video game remakes in history is undoubtedly Bloodborne, FromSoftware’s 2015 PlayStation 4 hit. Adjacent to the renowned Dark Souls series, it focused almost exclusively on offensive playstyles, allowing the player to dual-wield weapons, but largely forgoing the option of shields. Bloodborne was so good, we considered it to be “some of the best work FromSoftware’s ever done” in our review.

It’s always tough to see a studio close its doors, especially one with such a passionate fanbase. Bloodborne has certainly left a lasting impact on gamers, and the desire for a remake shows just how beloved it is. Hopefully, the legacy of the game continues in some form!

I completely agree; the closure of Bluepoint is a significant loss. Their work on remakes has set a high standard, and it’s disappointing to think we may never see the Bloodborne remake fans have been hoping for. The game’s unique atmosphere and design truly deserve another chance to shine.
