Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced has finally been announced and will indeed be released on July 9

Thursday’s presentation of the Assassin’s Creed IV remake didn’t reveal much. After all, pretty much everything we needed to know had already been leaked in the past few hours, so Ubisoft simply had to confirm what was already out there.

Thus, Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 9, 2026. The standard edition will retail for €59.99, while the collector’s edition will cost €199.99. As a reminder, the collector’s edition will include a special box, an Edward Kenway figurine, a notebook, a pin, and the game map.

The video released by the French publisher gave us our first look at the full trailer. We also got a good dose of gameplay footage. As expected, the graphics have been improved compared to the 2013 game. New content will be included, featuring additional stories and characters. The core storyline, however, will remain largely unchanged.

It’s also worth noting that the combat system has been thoroughly overhauled to focus on action. The environment can also be used against enemies. Parkour has been optimized.
