The first entry in the Dragon Quest series got released for the NES in Japan back on May 27, 1986, so it will celebrate its 40th anniversary this week. To mark such a big event, Square Enix has a small celebration planned.
It will be streamed on YouTube this Wednesday, May 27, at 2 p.m. BST / 9 a.m. ET / 6 a.m. PT. It will last around 10 minutes. We may even get a chance to see Dragon Quest XII, the first teaser for which dates back to May 2021.
