Acer presents the Predator Helios 18 AI, a new high-end gaming laptop

In addition to plenty of PC monitors and other portable gaming consoles, Computex 2026 (which takes place June 2–5) will be an opportunity to discover new laptops. In fact, Acer has just unveiled the Predator Helios 18 AI.

This model features an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop graphics card with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory. It can also be configured with up to 256 GB of DDR5 memory and 6 TB of storage via three PCIe Gen5 NVMe SSD slots. The 18-inch 16:10 Mini LED display will be capable of displaying a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels at 120 Hz or Full HD at 240 Hz, with a brightness of 1000 nits in HDR mode. NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and NVIDIA G-SYNC technologies are supported.

Now let’s move on to the connectivity options of the Predator Helios 18 AI, which features two Thunderbolt 5 ports, Intel Killer BE1750x Wi-Fi 7, Intel Killer E5000B Ethernet, and Bluetooth 5.4. A truly impressive machine, though its price and release date have not yet been revealed.

In addition, Acer has also taken the time to officially announce the Nitro 16 laptop. It features a 16-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. Under the hood, it features an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card with 12 GB of GDDR7 memory. It supports up to 32 GB of DDR5-5600 memory and up to 2 TB of storage via two PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD slots.

Finally, a USB 4.0 Type-C port, an HDMI 2.1 output, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3+, a Full HD infrared webcam, and a 92 Wh battery round out the package. Again, we don’t have a price or launch date.
