You Can Express Anger At Fortnite About Sidekick Restrictions Through A New Survey

The next big addition to Fortnite generated some big complaints, but fortunately, you can raise those directly at developer Epic Games in a new survey from the studio.

With the new mini-season based on The Simpsons comes the debut of Sidekicks, adorable pets that accompany you (and offer no gameplay advantage) on your battle royale bouts. But a closer look at the fine print reveals that the base appearance of these cute cosmetic creatures can only be customized once they have been obtained.

That means if you purchase a Sidekick from the Fortnite item shop, you only get one chance to determine its basic look, and you won’t be able to change it afterward. If you want the same Sidekick but with, say, a different fur color, you’ll have to buy it again. You can change the names of your Sidekicks at any time, however. Players have leveled complaints online, accusing Epic Games of greed.
