This week’s « shadow drop » was Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition — Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. Monolith Soft’s RPG has been given a facelift with an upgrade for €4.99 or a purchase of the full game for €64.99.
Once again, the YouTube channel « ElAnalistaDeBits » offers us a comparison between the Switch and Switch 2 versions. On the latter, the game runs at 2160p upscaled (native resolution 1080p) at 60 FPS in TV mode and 1080p upscaled (720p – 540p native) at 60 FPS in portable mode.
The frame rate is extremely stable, as the game manages to maintain 60 frames per second. The boost in definition is also clearly visible. While the display distance remains relatively similar, textures both near and far from our character are much sharper.
