Xbox reports declining revenue in its latest financial report

Microsoft has released its results for the third quarter of its fiscal year. Unfortunately, the American company’s gaming division saw a decline.

Xbox’s revenue reached $5.34 billion, down from $5.72 billion in the same period last year. This represents a 10.4% drop compared to the previous quarter. Additionally, revenue from the company’s content and services decreased by 6.6% year-over-year.

The hardware division, meanwhile, plummeted by 33% year-over-year. However, Microsoft as a whole is performing extremely well, with total revenue up 18% to $82.9 billion.

As for Xbox, we will likely have to wait to see the impact of Asha Sharma’s appointment as president. Since she only took office in February, her influence on the quarterly results will have been extremely limited.
