
Since last year, Xbox has adopted a more transparent strategy by displaying other manufacturersโ logos for its games when they release on PS5 and/or Switch. This is a rather unique approach that Nintendo and Sony refuse to use.
While Matt Booty, XBOXโs head of content, confirmed that this will still be the case during the XBOX Games Showcase on June 7, things could change after that. On X, Asha Sharma, president of XBOX, raised the possibility of abandoning this open-logo strategy.
“Seeing the feedback on logos. It was a miss, and I own it. We are talking about how we adjust for future XBOX shows.”
So, after next weekโs showcase, Microsoft could go back to a more traditional approach by displaying only its platform logos in the various trailers.
