Xbox Looking to Remove All Multiplayer Costs From Game Pass – Rumor

Xbox Game Pass has seen numerous changes lately, including a price increase to Ultimate (now $30) and two new tiers, alongside Xbox Cloud Gaming being available for all. However, PC Game Pass, despite a price bump, remains unchanged. With Microsoft allegedly focusing on a more Windows-like environment for its next-gen Xbox, how will this factor in?

According to Jez Corden of Windows Central, the plan is to allegedly remove any costs associated with multiplayer for the next Xbox, which would be great news for those who play premium titles like Call of Duty and Battlefield. This wouldn’t completely solve the issue of opting for PC Game Pass over Ultimate, however, especially since you can get all day-one first-party titles on the former at a lower price.

As Corden notes, Microsoft may introduce a similar overhaul to PC Game Pass. Perhaps there will be a Game Pass Ultimate for PC at the same price with exclusive benefits. Ubisoft+ Classics is already included alongside benefits for League of Legends, Overwatch 2, and Rainbow Six Siege, so it remains to be seen.
