It’s hard to know which way to turn with Xbox right now. Reports and leaks are multiplying regarding studio closures. Several are currently in talks with Microsoft to regain their independence.
Unfortunately, The Verge reports that one of the studios involved in these discussions will indeed be closing its doors. The studio in question is reportedly Ninja Theory. Xbox reportedly made the decision on Monday. This comes as a surprise, given that the British developer announced Senua, the third installment in the Hellblade series, during the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7.
Ninja Theory may try to find a buyer to avoid outright closure. As for Senua, we can assume that its development will not proceed any further. All of this has yet to be confirmed, of course.
