Whiskerwood patch 2 lowers taxes and fixes more issues

Hot on the heels of the first Whiskerwood patch, developer Minakata Dynamics has released patch number 2 for Whiskerwood. This patch lowers taxes on normal difficulty, allows players to add more logs to fires to make them last longer, and stops snowstorms forming when the temperature is high. There are also some other changes and fixes which you can see in the list below.

Whiskerwood Patch 2

Features

  • Players can now manually extra logs to campfires thus keeping the fire alive
  • Add button to reset graphic settings to default in case player enter invalid screen configuration

Gameplay

  • Nerf whisker population tax from 5 to 3 per whisker per day in normal difficulty
  • Nerf pollution generated by all heaters by half
  • Reduce production tax by 33% across all difficulties
  • Improve mine tool behavior when mining floors
  • Make stone paths related quest require a schematic check and randomize start day
  • Make 89 whisker population quest from Claws trigger randomly and after second year
  • Increased the priority of harvesting crops
  • Increased the recovery speed of soil nutrients
  • Cold temperatures no longer slow and stop nutrient recovery
  • Increased the yield of unfertilized crops. Fertilizer boost is reduced to 150%, but due to the overall increase, fertilized crops yield the same as before 
  • Fully grown crops no longer drain nutrients
  • Farmers now always fertilize crops when sowing if fertilizer is stocked and enabled

UI

  • Fix tutorial dialogs windows not wrapping long text lines

Bugs

  • Fix snowstorms occurring at high temperatures.
  • Fix schools wrongly displaying a “no workers” warning after using pause toggle
  • Improved colors of wheat
  • Fix Fire Tender & Luxury Supplier not being listed in the workplace overview
  • Fire vfx may be become detached from the Campfire
  • Fix Terrain for mining underground cannot be marked when it sticks to the wall without using the Slice View
  • Fix dock decking missing shadows
  • Reduce height of dock roof, fixing clipping issue.
  • Fix camps not remembering allowed resources when loading save.
  • Fix sunlight blockage by buildings not being loaded correctly from save files.
  • Fix wheat not displaying fertility colors in fertility view mode
