We’ve Never Seen Anything Like Switch 2’s Sales Before

Circana has released its latest monthly sales report, revealing which games and hardware sold the best during October 2025. Battlefield 6 topped the software charts and Nintendo’s Switch 2 came out on top for hardware.

According to Circana, the Switch 2 sold 328,000 units in the US in October. It’s now pacing ahead of the original Switch by 68% and is also ahead 3% of the PlayStation 4’s “previous record velocity” for sales.

The Switch 2 helped lift US hardware sales in October to $351 million, which was up 36% year-over-year. The Switch 2 did so well it offset the year-over-year declines experienced by the original Switch (down 52%), Xbox Series X|S (down 37%), and PlayStation 5 (down 22%).
