It’s time for the second September 2025 PlayStation State of Play, and as usual, we’re hosting the livestream here for our readers. Unlike previous events, today’s State of Play actually has everyone excited because we’re expecting long-awaited updates from first-party PlayStation Studios.
PlayStation State of Play September 24, 2025 livestream link and what to expect
The livestream embedded below will kick off at 2 p.m. PT / 5 p.m. ET / 11 p.m. CEST.
Sony has confirmed that the event will be more than 35 minutes long, five minutes of which will be reserved for Housemarque’s Saros PS5 gameplay. However, the wording on PS Blog suggests that Housemarque won’t be the only PlayStation Studio to appear at the event.
Rumor has it that Insomniac Games’ highly anticipated Marvel’s Wolverine will also make an appearance at today’s State of Play. We’re keeping our expectations in check, but we do have a feeling that the rumors are true this time.
There are also reports of a God of War spin-off at the event.
As for what we can confirm, Sony said that the State of Play will feature “third-party and indie titles.” One of the third-party tiles is apparently Nioh 3, the release date for which was leaked earlier today. According to a listing on Amazon Japan, the game will release on February 6, 2026.
