While the Steam Machine console and the Steam Frame VR headset are currently on hold due to a DRAM shortage, Valve may still launch its new controller in the near future.
Indeed, customs records reviewed by Brad Lynch mention an import of “large quantity import” of “wireless PC controller” bound for the United States. Specifically, 40 packages, weighing a total of 12,970 kg, shipped from Hong Kong arrived on U.S. soil on April 4, 2026.
Upon verification, this shipment is indeed intended for Valve Corporation. This naturally suggests that it contains the new Steam Controller announced last year. A first batch of controllers could therefore become available to players in the coming weeks.
