In recent hours, several internet users who claim to work for Target and Walmart in the United States have reported worrying news for Xbox.

It appears that both retail chains have decided to stop selling Xbox games in physical format. β€œOn Wednesday, the Target store where I work removed all Xbox games, and I’m pretty sure this will be the case throughout the entire store,” said one user on Reddit. He added that all games will be discontinued and current stock will be sold off.

Another employee at the retail giant reported similar developments at their store.

“My local Target is getting rid of their entire Xbox section. The electronics manager says they will No longer carry systems, games, or accessories. He also said all Targets in the Kansas City area are purging their Xbox stock as well.”

This is also the case for Walmart, according to an employee of the American company.

“The Walmart store where I work is also getting rid of Xbox games. We are currently rearranging the store, and the new layout for electronics will not include Xbox games, and the Switch and PlayStation sections will be condensed into one display case each. In the year that I’ve been working in electronics here, I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve sold an Xbox game.”
