Square Enix has made a major announcement for Switch 2 players! Indeed, Final Fantasy XIV will be available on Nintendo’s console in August 2026.
An early access phase will be available for free about a month before launch. After that, players will need to pay a subscription fee to play the MMORPG. Nintendo Switch Online will not be required.
Finally, players who are subscribed to Final Fantasy XIV on another platform will be eligible for a 50% discount on their subscription for the Switch 2 version.
